The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued notices to eight private housing societies in Lahore for unauthorized use of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) name and logo, ARY News reported on Sunday.
An FIA spokesperson revealed that these societies improperly used WAPDA’s branding to promote and sell plots in Lahore.
The FIA has asked the Joint Registrar of the Punjab Cooperative Housing Society for detailed information about these housing societies.
The agency has warned that legal action will be taken against any society found misleading the public by falsely claiming affiliation with government institutions without proper authorization.
